Craignano Nature Park

Nature Park Craignano: A nature walk in well-maintained flower gardens, tree houses, and
picnic spots and statues showing the Pahari culture and their dressing styles. A family can enjoy a full day out here, and kids love the park and playing in the children’s park and Adults can relax from the hustle and bustle of the city life. You have to buy tickets to enter the park, which helps with the maintenance.

 Ticket- 50/- INR per Adult

Naldehra Golf Course: The only golf course in Shimla created by the Britishers before Independence, where tourists can enjoy the scenic beauty of the valley. A full day in the lush green fields of Naldehra, famous for the golf course and horse rides tour of the valley. Naldehra Golf course is usually used by filmmakers for songs and other scenic shoots.

Fruit orchards and Oak forests: A scenic and pleasant walk in the Apple orchids of the Mashobra Valley surrounded by oak forest.

Shalli Tiba: The famous mountain peak of Shimla district attracts hikers and nature camping in the middle of nowhere and under the sky covered with beautiful view of shining stars. The Diety Yogini temple is situated at the top of the peak where you can stay and meditate and pray to the Goddess with local pujari. It’s a pilgrimage route and an attractive small trek of 12 km, which almost takes 3- 4 hrs from the Village Khatnol, which is 30km from Mashobra. You will see the 360-degree view and a beautiful sunset and sunrise from the Top. You will also witness the peace and calmness which is not found near Shimla city.

Do you need a guide to trek in Shalli Tiba?

You can take all the essential details from the locals, but someone who can guide you and provide local knowledge is also very helpful and safe on such dense forest treks. You have to go through dense forests on a proper visible route and carry lots of water and some food items because there is no water and food supply on the way, and avoid
traveling at night. You can collect dead wood while underway for bonfire and cooking purposes. There are some huts and other sleeping arrangements for the night, but you must carry your own camping and sleeping bags.

Where to stay in Mashobra?

If you want to experience nature, then go for camps, stays and hotels, and homestays also at good prices, but you have to book them 2-3 months before your visit. I recommend the Shalli Tribe Camp Stay, the best one to keep yourself close to nature, and they also offer some good hikes and activities.
