Pin Parvati Pass: A Trek Route of Kasol and Pin Valley
The Best Journey and a smooth trek of Pin Parvati Pass connects two districts of Himachal Pradesh; one side belongs to the Parvati Valley of district Kullu, and the other belongs to Pin Valley of district Lahaul & Spiti.

The Trek is almost 100km and covers the scenic beauty of cold mountains with blooming flowers, alpine trees, amazing glaciers, water streams, attractive villages, and chilling waterfalls.

How to Reach/Trek Pin Parvati Pass?
By Air:- Reach the International Delhi Airport. You will get a flight to Bhuntar Airport, Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, which takes around 2hr to reach Bhuntar. You must also check for weather conditions and availability because the flight is basic and only carries a limited passengers. After reaching Bhuntar, you have to take cabs/taxis for your further journey by road.
By Train: From Delhi Airport, you can take the metro train to reach your Train Station and travel up to Joginder Nagar Station Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. Now the further journey will be traveled through road only.
By Road: Reach Delhi/Chandigarh Airport by Flight. Then book your cab by Indrive -City-to-City transfer to reach your Hotel.
Delhi/Chandigarh to Kasol
Distance covered – Delhi to Kasol: 482km via NH 44
Chandigarh to Kasol:- 250km via NH205
From Delhi/Chandigarh airport/railway station, proceed to Kasol by hiring Cabs, Rental Bikes, and Volvo buses.
Delhi Volvo station(Majnu ka Tilla) will operate after 6:00 P.M. Indian time for an overnight journey, so you can book tickets from any online booking platform.
Ordinary Bus Services are also available. 24*7 Cabs are Available at the airport exit terminal, or you can book through an online booking platform.

Kasol – Barshaini – Kheerganga
You can chill out and explore Kasol and, later on, head towards Barshaini and start trekking towards Kheerganga. You have to trek along with Parvati River, and after crossing some villages, you will reach Kheerganga. Here, you can take a hot water bath from the natural source of a hot water spring and Overnight Stay at the Camp.

Kheerganga to Tunda Bhuj
Now you have to trek towards Tunda-Bhuj, where you can see the river Parvati flowing down from the mountains. The Scenic Valley view and the peaceful environment can mesmerize you and scare you a bit, but the birds chirping will guide you through your lonely way to happiness. After crossing the wooden bridge, you will see some local sellers’ tents. They will provide you with many food items.

We stayed there for some time and received some local knowledge, pleasant tea, and other food items. The locals warned us about the Leopard and the Bear. As we are trekking with some experts, they guide us well through the jungle route.
 After some time, we trekked out of the forest area and saw the meadowland of Parvati Valley.

Now you have to trail the high peak to get to the top of the hill. After reaching the top, you will see the mesmerizing Parvati Valley.
Now you will reach Tunda-Bhuj, the camping area, where you can camp for your overnight stay.
Altitude gained 10,512 ft.

Tunda Bhuj to Thakur Kuan
Now you have to walk down through a jungle of lovely flowers and
Greenery.
The landscape view is very pleasant, but the trek is very long and time-consuming.
You have to cross many bridges to reach the steady climb. Now, your further trial is a landscape of some majestic views. After that, you will reach the Pandu Bridge.
 Now you have to trek towards the Parvati River to pass the fields, and you will reach your next camping destination, Thakur Kuan.
After reaching Thakur Kuan, look out for the best places to camp, and for bonfires, you have to search for dead wood to enjoy your night. Overnight stay at Thakur Kuan.
 Altitude gained 11,000 ft.

Thakur Kuan to Odi Thach
Now you have the easiest trek day as it won’t take time to reach the next destination, and you can relax more on the trail as well as on the campsite.
Now you have to cross many terrains and streams, and the river will be on your left side, which makes a pleasant sound and fulfills your water needs.

Then you will enter the big forest area and meadowland, which is surrounded by flowers and small trees.
 Now comes the tricky patch of the Trek, the
Pandu bridge. Everyone stays together in a group while crossing the Bridge.
Now you have the flat ground to conquer, which requires less effort to reach your next camping destination, Odi Thach.
 After reaching Odi Thach, you have to look for a better camping position, as this site is one of the windy sites. Overnight stay at Odi Thach.

 Odi Thach to Mantalai Lake
Now, from here, you have to be very careful on slippery and muddy trails. After that, you gonna enter in Moraine area, which has a steep climb and is going to require more physical strength.
So, the best suggestion is to climb slowly and at a steady pace, and soon you will reach the Holy Lake (Mantalai Lake), the origin point and main source of the river Parvati.
 At Mantalai Lake, you can take some pictures and explore the area, and visit a small temple, as your next camping destination is nearby, or you can camp near Mantalai Lake.
 Keep your body hydrated or drink glucose water at regular intervals because the high altitude can cause AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness). Overnight stay at Mantalai Lake Campsite.
Altitude gained:- 13,500 feet

Mantalai Lake to Summit Camp
Now comes the summit day, where you have to prepare yourself physically and mentally. Today, you will cross River Lane, Glaciers, and big rocky areas.
After that, a Steady climb towards the slope, which takes us about 9- 10 hours. Depends on your fitness level and mental condition. The steep rocks and the composite area give you a real thrill and a hard time in your whole journey.
 After all the hard work and trekking tasks, you will reach the base camp area where you can prepare your dinner and camp and take full rest before summit and overnight stay at Base camp.

Summit Camp – Summit to Pin Parvati Pass base/Bedu Thatch
Now you have to climb the whole glacier to reach the Summit Point. Enjoy your summit, click some pictures, and then enter the Pin Valley of Lahaul and Spiti.
 Altitude gained:- 17,500 feet
Now you have to come down from glaciers, ice fields, and high rocks of Pin Valley. You have to be very careful in this greenery and wildlife Sanctuary.
On the way to your base camp, you will see the fascinating natural painting on the big rocks and the ice-covered mountain views of the Dibibokri and Kulu Makalu ranges. After reaching Bedu Thach, grab the best place for camping, and overnight stay at the Pin Valley base campsite.

Pin Parvati Pass Base to Tiya
Now you have to prepare your legs for descending, which is approximately 12km, fully covered with rocks, lush green fields, and snow-covered big mountains all around.
Reach Tiya and set up your camping overnight stay at the Tiya campsite. As Tiya is the last Camping station, grab some memories through clicks and great talks with other trekkers and guides.

Tiya to Mud Drive to Kaza
Now from Tiya heads towards the first village of Pin Valley, an almost flat walk to reach Mud. At the last point of your hard physical journey now you can book a cab/taxi towards Kaza.
After reaching Kaza, explore the diversity and stay overnight in Kaza.
You can Camp or book Hostels, homestays, and hotels.

 Kaza to Manali
Now you can book a cab/taxi, Rental bikes, and ordinary buses to reach Manali.
 Once you reach Manali, you can explore the city can relax, or massage for your body.
From Manali, you have many options to go to the Delhi/Chandigarh Airport.
Nearest Airport is Bhuntar (Kullu), 50km via NH 03 from Manali.
