A beautiful village and a must-visit place in the Parvati Valley of Kullu. Kasol is a small village that attracts tourists for the peaceful environment, the village life, and the refreshing environment on the banks of the Parvati River. Most of the pleasant villages, cafes, and camping sites are near the river, which gives you a unique and peaceful vibe of the Valley. Kasol is basically a halt and base station for trekkers and hikers, but now budget travellers, backpackers, nature lovers, and cultural seekers also visit and explore nearby villages and a unique mix of Israeli and Kulluvi culture.

By AIR:

We have three Airport options, as follows:

1) Kullu (BHUNTAR AIRPORT)

The Bhuntar Airport, Kullu, which is approximately 40 km from Kasol Village.

2) Chandigarh (SHAHEED BHAGAT SINGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT)

The best option is to book flights to Chandigarh Airport, as there are very few flights to Bhuntar Airport and it can be delayed if the weather is not suitable for a flight. So, try to avoid a hectic journey and choose Chandigarh Airport. Then afterwards, hire a Cab/Taxi to Kasol(Kullu).

Chandigarh Airport to Kasol – 290km approx. A journey of a minimum of 07 hrs by road.

3) IGI Delhi (Indira Gandhi International Airport)

The best Airport with multiple flight options. Once you reach Delhi, book a cab or taxi to Kasol.

For a long journey, my Recommendation is a Volvo for an overnight journey. You can reach the boarding station by Auto and Taxi/Cab.

Delhi to Bhuntar -530 km (12hrs) by road.

From Bhuntar, you have to take a taxi/Cab, a rental bike, or a local Bus.

Best Booking Apps are: Red Bus, HRTC

By Train:

You can book your train up to Jogindernagar Railway Station, which is 125km from the Kasol Village.

Now, from Jogindernagar, you can hire a cab/taxi or Local buses. Sharing cabs and Rental Bikes are also available.

The Regathering, harvesting season of the valley, starting from September to October, the valley is less crowded and the best time to hike nearby villages and understand their culture and lifestyle.

The Winter Season

This season belongs to pro travellers. From November to March, newbies are advised to prepare for limited daylight, cool days, and quite freezing winters in the valley. It’s a great time for long talks and stories, and the most scenic of all times, with the slow life of the valley and villages.
